Golf Outing & Luncheon

Saturday, May 6th 2017

Brunswick Greens Golf Course

Troy, NY 12180

Approximately 25 Alumni & Brothers of Pi Kappa Phi, & invited guests, enjoyed playing 9 holes of golf and/or attending the luncheon. The luncheon was buffet style, with a cash bar. Attendees enjoyed the cocktail hour type food offerings, craft beer, & mixed drinks that were available.

A number of Undergraduate Brothers attended the event. It was great to see the interactions and discussions that were had between the alumni & the undergraduates. The weather was sunny & warm, so attendees were also able to spend time & converse on the outdoor patio.

Golfers leisurely set out in groups to golf. Large volumes of rain that occurred over the days prior to the event prohibited the use of powered golf carts. However, the weather was nice & the short course was great to walk.

Although many of the golfers were novices, that did not prevent any of them from having fun. For instance, one group had a rule which "punished" those who did not hit their ball past the women's tees on tee off. Many mulligans were had, but everybody had fun. It was clear that a sense of togetherness prevailed over how good or bad people were.

Overall, it was a successful event which exhibited the camaraderie & brotherhood of our Fraternity Brothers. We thank all of those who attended & made the event a success. And we hope to see many more alumni, undergraduates, & guests attend our events in the future!

Alumni "Cocktail" Hour

Saturday, October 14th 2017 (RPI Alumni Weekend)

The Castle

49 2nd Street

Troy, NY 12180

The Undergraduate Brothers & Fall 2017 Pledges hosted a Alumni "Cocktail" Hour on RPI Alumni Weekend. The event was heavily attended by the Undergraduates, & lightly attended by Alumni.

Light refreshments were served, & the Undergraduates & Alumni had a chance to converse in a relaxed environment. The Castle Alpha Tau Foundation, Inc. Vice President, Scott Carpman, was in attendance to answer questions about the Organization. The Housing Corporation Treasurer, Andrew Haslam, & the Housing Corporation Secretary, Nathan Nardino were also in attendance to share some of the upcoming projects around the house that they would like to pursue.

Although Alumni attendance was light, we hope to have increased attendance in the future. Regardless, those who attended enjoyed the camaraderie of the Brotherhood, reminiscing of old memories, & discussing aspirations for the future of the Fraternity.
