May 2022 - Spring Floral Spectacular at Paine Castle Troy

The Paine Mansion was bursting with Spring blooms at our Spring Spectacular!

Hundreds of visitors from Albany, Troy, and surrounding areas enjoyed viewing lavish fresh floral arrangements, created by local talented floral designers, at the Paine Castle during our Spring Floral Spectacular event May 14th and 15th. The heady scent of beautiful spring blooms greeted visitors the moment they entered the Paine Castle. Mansion docents were on hand to answer architectural and historical questions as guests delighted in the Spring floral displays. Every room on the first floor of the Castle was decorated with floral arrangements designed by: Enchanted Florist of Albany, Felthousen’s Florist and Greenhouses of Schenectady, Flower World of Troy, and the Van Rensselaer Garden Club. Many of the exquisite floral arrangements, available for purchase, were taken home by overjoyed visitors!

One of the highlights, our special Champagne Tours, were also available with prior registration. Guests sipped champagne as they toured restoration and preservation projects currently underway at the Castle. These “behind-the-scenes” tours were sold out due to overwhelming response! The Paine Castle Troy is now available for first floor rentals. If you are thinking about a special place for a small event, The Castle is the perfect magnificent backdrop! Upstate Tents and Events graciously provided tables and table settings during this event so guests could see the possibilities of how an event may happen at The Castle.
