The Moorish Room

The Moorish room is located off of the Foyer, between the Ballroom & the Meeting Room.

The Moorish Room was styled after Moroccan architecture. The ceiling is made of leather, which absorbed cigar & pipe smoke. The room was used by John Paine to entertain his male guests. Large pocket doors allowed for the room to be closed off for privacy.

The Moorish room includes a fireplace, built-in bookshelves, & more magnificent woodwork. Additionally, there are paintings located on the ceiling.
